Activities for Children and Youth

Youth Groups

.
God Squad:  3rd-4th
Our God Squad is made up of 3rd and 4th grade students who get together outside of Sunday School monthly to “live their faith out loud!”  Sometimes we do service projects, sometimes fundraising, sometimes we just have fun fellowship together, but all the time we are focusing on God and His direction for our lives.  If you have a child in 3rd or 4th grade and would like to be added to the e-mail list to receive information about God Squad activities, please send an e-mail with your child’ s name and information to kimfumc@gmail.com  If you have any questions or need additional information, please feel free to contact Kim Crosen @ 748-2612.

Mission 56:  5th-6th
Mission 56 is geared toward students in the ‘tween years of 5th and 6th grade.  Led by Kirby Cain, the group undertakes a variety of mission and fun activities.  These include things like serving dinner and leading activities for the women and children of Hope House in Middletown and joining together once a month for worship service, lunch or dinner and a special activity.  If you are interested in having your child get involved in Mission 56, please contact the church office.

Youth Group:  7th – 8th and 9th-12th
Our youth groups for Jr. & Sr. High youth meet most Sunday evenings during the school year from 7:00 to 8:30.  They too have a wide variety of mission projects throughout the year including special events such as Believe and mission trips to various areas. They also assist the Women in Faith and United Methodist Men with projects when needed and they are invaluable helpers during our summer Vacation Bible School.

God Squad (3rd and 4th grade)

It’s time for our God Squad students to have a fun time being lost and found at a local corn maze!  On Sunday, October 22, we will meet at the church after second service.  We will go out to lunch and then head out to Tom’s Corn Maze in Germantown.  Please watch for an e-mail detailing exact cost. Children will also need money for lunch (fast food).   This is an annual event and we have so much fun learning why we need to follow God’s direction.  On our own we get turned around in all kinds of directions!

We also invited all Kids Who Care and God Squad youth to join in the Wonderful Wednesday Halloween Party on October 25.  A spooky good-time will be had by all!
