Making Memories The church is sponsoring a family camping trip, from Friday afternoon on September 2nd through Sunday morning, September 4th. It’s rustic… tent camping in the Cedar Point Group Camping area at Caesar's Creek, Cedar Point Group Camp Location. To get there from Springboro, follow 73 East to the park. Follow 73 past the main park entrance and over the bridge, then take the first road to the right, called Fifty Springs, and follow the signs to the camping area. The cost of $20 per family covers the use of the campground all weekend. This is a special rate, much cheaper than the usual fee of $25.00 per night to reserve an individual site. There are restroom facilities w/ flush toilets and running water. Showers are available in the beach area. You can arrive anytime after three pm on Friday to set up camp, then enjoy a campfire that evening. Sat-am we will do a mission project for Caesar’s Creek. You're on your own for whatever in the afternoon … hike, bike, cornhole, games, read, swim, fish, whatever. There will be a Vesper (worship) service in the evening, followed by a group campfire. Sunday is on your own again, do what you want, then pack up and head home. Each family provides their own food. Fall is a beautiful time of year to camp, and it shouldn’t be too cool yet. It's a chance for great fellowship with your church family and to make some family memories of your own! (I know - you have so much to do, like yard work or cleaning the garage. Our children are grown now, in the blink of an eye it seems. We enjoy looking back at our pictures of the fun we had hiking, biking, canoeing and sailing. Funny, there are no pictures of us trimming bushes or cleaning the garage. You may remember I said this last year. It's still true. And this year you might have extra time because it's Labor Day weekend.) If you have questions, please call Kara Hampton or Pastor Suzanne.
