First United Methodist is blessed to have a very active music ministry.  We have three different choir opportunities for people to participate in on a regular basis.  In addition, there are opportunities to share musical abilities on a one time or occasional basis.  Each group is made up of individuals with a true love and talent for music.  They find much joy and fellowship in sharing their spiritual gift of music with First United Methodist and we are a richer church community because of their talents!  If you are interested in getting involved with FUMC through music, please reach out to one of the choir directors or the church office.
Heavenly Host Choir
This traditional choir provides music for our Sunday morning 9:15 and 10:35 services. The choir is accompanied by both organ and piano played by Penny Grimes and Vicki Kuhn. The choir practices on Wednesday evenings at 7:00 p.m.  The choir is led by Carolyn Mabee.
Joyful Noise Bell Choir
Our bell choir, led by Kirby Cain, is the latest addition to our Music Ministry.  They provide music for Sunday morning services six to nine times per year.  They also are involved in the Christmas Cantata each December.  The choir practices on Wednesday evenings at 8:00 p.m.
Springs praise band provides a mix of favorite hymns, christian contemporary, and other special music appropriate for the Saturday casual service each week at
5:30 p.m.   The group has members who offer both their vocal and instrumental  talents.  Led by Kirby Cain, they currently practice at 6:00 p.m. on Sunday evenings.
 Youth Choir
If you love to sing and you are in third through eighth grade please join our youth choir.  The choir rehearses after the Children’s Moment (2nd service) for about 15-20 minutes each week.  They sing in church several times a year.  Any questions please see Shelly Houser.
