CHEFS UNITE!

As most good things do, Bible School has come to an end. Both weeks were  a resounding success, with wonderful recipes being cooked up all over the church. Below are pictures from the second session. We hope to have pictures from the first session soon.

SHAKE IT UP CAFE!! VBS 2011

“If anyone is in Christ, there is a new creation” (2 Corrinthians 5:17)

Wow! What a VBS! We had a great time this year as we shook things up! We played host to 260 children over our two weeks together! The word is out that the place to be for summer fun is First United Methodist Church! The children really enjoyed themselves as they made their way through puppet shows and videos, music, crafts, snacks, recreation, storytellers, science and more. The children showed how they could put their words into action as they brought in enough food and toiletry items to help SCAC and Franklin Food banks. We ended up filling six grocery carts full of supplies!

The 2 weeks of Bible school were a fun-filled blur!

We could not have done it without our faithful and selfless volunteers! Over 90 volunteers came together for this annual event and we had a blast! I won’t mention everyone here for fear of leaving someone out, but for all of your prayers, donations, leadership, computer work, decorating, set-up, tear down, painting, organizing, and more I thank you! We couldn’t do what we do without each and every one of you! Thanks to all of you for all of your help and dedication in making sure our church meets our mission of helping others to make and maintain a connection to Christ!
