Youth Ministries

Junior & Senior High:

7th-12th graders meet each week on Sunday evenings at the church from 5:30 to 7:00. Part of the time is spent together and part is spent in separate Junior and Senior high small groups for discussion and study. Each summer the youth help with VBS and go on a mission trip.

Message from Will Leasure, Youth Leader

Hello, all! I hope everyone had a great Christmas! Here are a few things to keep on the calendar in the coming weeks.

First: Its Lockin Time! The lockin will be Friday January 16th from 6pm until the next morning. Pickup will be between 8-9AM. This is for anyone in 5th through 8th grade. We always have a good time and I hope you will make plans to join us. More details will be sent out in the coming weeks.

Next: Believe is just a few weeks away. This is a great time for our Jr. High students to go away for a night of hanging out , worship and learning about God. The event takes place at Northern Kentucky University on February 24-25. The cost will be approximately $75 per person which will include event registration and the overnight stay at a hotel. I hope you are planning on joining us for this event, it is a great time.

Youth group will continue to meet on Sunday nights from 5:30-7:00.

See you all soon.

Will Leasure Youth Director, Springboro FUMC

Thanks to Our Young People for Their Help during Vacation Bible School

Our youth groups are both a vital part of VBS, where they help in many ways. Check out the pictures of  Vacation Bible School in the photo archive to see some examples of what they do. Think about it - if we had to pay someone $8.00 an hour to help out, that would be $8.00 x 5 hours a day x 5 days a week x 2 weeks, for a total of $400.00 per volunteer. Way to go, guys, you really, seriously, without a doubt, are a huge part of the VBS effort.
