Compassionate Care
Just as God is consistently there for the church, we seek to support, encourage, pray for and be there for each other through the struggles and joys of life.
Compassionate Care Team
There are a few different ways that the Care Team reaches out to care for the people in the church:

Joys and Concerns – prayer requests are collected during worship services and prayed over during the pastoral prayer.

Prayer Email List – On Mondays, the prayer requests are emailed out to anyone wanting to receive them.

Cards – The Care Team sends cards to church members who are in need of prayer or are celebrating a special joy. These are mostly based on the prayer email list.

Visits/Calls – A few different people share the task of contacting those who can not make it to church or who are in the hospital.
Transportation – a ministry that helps those get to doctor’s appointments, etc.

Meals – sometimes those who are going through a tough health issue don’t have much of a support system around them.... or don’t have time or energy to fix meals.
Good Neighbor Ministry – individuals in the congregation sponsor teachers of Bright Beginnings to encourage and support them in many ways.

Care Packages – sending gifts to college students and military service people who are within the church.

Stephen Ministry – caring for those, one-on-one, who are trying to work through grief or an otherwise difficult situation.

As always, the Care Team looks for ways to improve how we can care for others in the church. Let us know if you have any ideas.
